Even the best swimmers get tired. When they do, their head dips under first. Unlike a basic dog life vest, our vest's chinlift™ rest is designed to support your dog's chin while the soft foam adds buoyancy across their body, helping them stay comfortable and relaxed. The top handle makes it easy to lift them out when you need to.

Took him out on the lake this weekend and the chin pad is honestly my favorite part — his chin just rests right on it so he can chill and paddle around. Fit's spot on too, and the handle saved my back getting him out of the water. Really happy we got it.

love  water   days but  hate  being on edge when your dog  swims  out?

You know the feeling. Everyone else is having fun in the sun. But you're stuck by the water, watching your dog the whole time, waiting for them to turn back.

The farther out they swim, the more you worry. Are they getting tired? Can they make it back?

The worry never really switches off.

Here's what most people miss: the problem was never that your dog can't swim. Even good swimmers get tired - and it always happens when they're too far out to reach.

Our dog life vest Floaty helps. The padded ChinLift™ front flap supports your dog's chin, and the soft foam adds buoyancy to help them stay comfortable when they tire.

Bright colors
make them easy to see. And a strong handle lets you pull them right back to you - fast and easy.

So you can enjoy the day with more confidence and peace of mind, right alongside your dog.

give your dog extra buoyancy when they start to tire out

Here's what most people don't think about: even strong swimmers get tired. Dogs are having too much fun to notice, and paddling back can wear them out faster than you'd expect.

Most basic vests add buoyancy to the body but not much support up front. That's why Floaty is built around a padded ChinLift™ front flap, designed to support your dog's chin and add buoyancy, so a tiring dog can rest more comfortably instead of struggling to stay level.

The result: calmer, more fun water days, while you stay close and keep an eye on your pup.

get extra peace of mind in unexpected moments

Even confident swimmers have their off moments — a surprise jump off the boat, or simply swimming a little farther than they meant toFloaty adds extra flotation for moments like those, so a fun day on the water stays a fun day on the water.

With Floaty on, your dog floats more comfortably, while the reinforced grab-handle on the back lets you lift them out of the water, or back onto the boat... in one easy motion. It's the calm, hands-on control that lets both of you enjoy the water more.

made for every breed, every body shape

Some breeds — Frenchies, bulldogs, pugs, corgis and dachshunds — just aren't built for easy swimming. Their body shape makes it harder to stay level in the water. floaty's side and rear buoyancy panels plus the front flap help them stay more level and supported, so they can paddle around and enjoy the water with the rest of the family.

And for everyone else — deep-chested Labs, tiny dogs, broad bullies, long-bodied seniors — the fully adjustable straps and over-the-head fit mean a comfortable, no-chafe fit that's easy to put on. Sizes XS–XL, dialed in to your dog's exact shape.

  • "…now water days are so much less stressful."

My lab is a strong swimmer so I never bothered — until she paddled out farther than usual and tired herself out. Now she wears Floaty every time, and water days feel so much more relaxed. I still keep an eye on her, but I'm not on edge the whole time.

  • "...he's so much more comfortable in the water now"

Everyone with a bulldog breed knows how they tip backwards and their back end drops. With the vest on, the extra buoyancy helps him stay more level, so he can paddle around more comfortably — with me right there with him. Huge difference for us.

  • "…water days are back for my senior boy."

My 11-year-old has arthritis and was struggling in the water. The extra buoyancy lets him float and move his legs without tiring, so the water days we thought were over are back — and the handle makes getting him out easy on my back too.

designed with water-safety input, trusted by the pros who use it

Floaty went through 6 prototypes over a 2-year development period, with input from canine water-safety specialists and hydrotherapists - refining the padded ChinLift™ front flap, the buoyancy placement, and the rescue handle, and testing them across pools and calm water.

"As a canine hydrotherapist, one of the first things I look for is whether a vest gives real support up front, because many don't. Floaty's padded front flap adds chin support and buoyancy, and the handle lets me help a recovering dog quickly. It's one I'm happy to recommend to owners."

    FAQ

    Frequently Asked Questions

    check_box

does it help dogs that aren't strong swimmers?

Floaty adds buoyancy to help dogs thatcan already swimbut tire easily or struggle to stay level — like short-legged or deep-chested breeds. It's a buoyancy aid, not a lifesaving device, and it won't make a dog that can't swim safe in the water. Make sure your dog is comfortable swimming first, introduce the vest gradually, and always supervise your dog in and around water.

Yes! Floaty is designed to move with your dog. The adjustable fit and flexible foam let them paddle, fetch, and play comfortably in the water. Just keep it to calm, supervised water, give your dog rest breaks so they don't overtire, and always keep an eye on them.

You’ll receive a Floaty vest with adjustable straps, a reinforced top grab handle, a leash D-ring, and padded belly panels designed to provide comfort and distribute pressure around your dog’s body. The belly panels are not required to overlap for the vest to function correctly.

For a secure fit, the adjustable straps should be properly adjusted each time the vest is used.

To determine the correct size for your pup, you need 4 key measurements: weight, chest girth, neck circumference, and back length. Please use a flexible measuring tape while your dog is standing naturally. For the chest and neck, the tape should be snug but not constricting, and you should be able to fit two fingers underneath.

    • Chest girth: Measure all the way around the widest part of the chest/rib cage, usually just behind the front legs.
    • Weight: Use your dog's current body weight from a scale.
    • Neck circumference: Measure all the way around the base/widest part of the neck, where the vest naturally sits.
    • Back length: Measure from the base of the neck, where the neck meets the shoulders, straight along the spine to the base of the tail.

The chin support is designed to work in the water, so it is completely normal for it to feel soft or point downward while your dog is standing, walking, or playing on land.

Our photos showcase the vest in action in the water, where the foam’s buoyancy lifts the chin support to help support your dog’s head.

As long as your dog’s measurements fall within the selected size, FAQs guideline, and the straps are properly adjusted, the chin support pointing downward on land is normal and should not affect its intended support in the water.

Slip it over your dog's head, cinch the two belly straps snug (you should fit two fingers under them), clip your leash to the D-ring near docks or boats and let them swim. Use the back handle anytime to lift them out or back onto the boat.

We recommend hand washing the vest with cold water and a mild detergent after use, especially after swimming in saltwater or chlorinated pools. Rinse thoroughly to remove any soap residue, gently squeeze out excess water (do not wring), and air dry in a shaded, well-ventilated area. Please avoid using bleach, fabric softeners, a washing machine, a dryer, or direct heat, as these can damage the materials and reduce the vest's lifespan. 🐶💙

The XS and Small sizes are intentionally designed with one belly strap. Due to the limited space on these smaller vests, two belly straps cannot fit properly without affecting comfort and usability.

To compensate, the single belly strap is wider and stronger than the straps used on the larger sizes, providing the necessary strength, security, and support from start to finish. This is an intentional design feature, not a manufacturing defect, and has been thoroughly tested to ensure the vest performs as intended.

Every floaty is backed by our 60-day satisfaction guarantee. If it's not the right fit for your dog, send it back for a full refund — no hassle.
